En 1930, para hacer sitio al nuevo edificio, el edificio Indiana Bell, de 11.000 toneladas, fue desplazado 16 metros y girado 90º. Las obras duraron un mes y no interrumpieron los servicios esenciales del edificio ni los suministros de gas, agua y electricidad. Nadie en el interior sintió que el edificio se moviera.
